How we do business

If you are not completely happy with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund of the purchase price.
If we do make a mistake, we will make it right.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share our mailing lists or any of our
customers' information, including phone numbers. Period!
We want to meet and exceed your expectations and we welcome your
suggestions for improvements.

To order by phone
Call 1-937-426-5110 24 hours a day and give your mailing information, credit card number (don't forget the expiration date!), and a phone number so we can call if we have any questions. We promise not to give your phone number to Dial-an-Ax-Murderer. This is a voice mailbox, not an answering machine, so order with confidence. If you want a more-or-less live human being, try between 9 am-5 pm EST weekdays. We might be on another line or out to lunch, but we'll get right back to you.

By fax
Dial 937-320-1832 24 hours a day. This goes directly to my private office so no one has access to your credit card information.

By Mail
Send your order to Invisible Ink, 1811 Stonewood Dr., Dayton, OH 45432-4002. Please allow at least a week for it to reach us from either coast.

Shipping info--domestic
Most of our orders are shipped within 48 hours. Sometimes we will hold orders longer because a) we're waiting for a book to arrive so we can fill the complete order b) we need to run the check through the bank c) we're on vacation d) we're ghosthunting. You can ensure the fastest possible service, especially in the holiday season, by paying by credit card, money order, or certified check.

Normally we ship domestic orders US Book Rate or Bound Printed Matter, which is not exactly a ball of fire. Please allow 4 weeks before you panic. If you need a book by a certain date, just let us know and we'll do our best to get it there. Call for rates on speedier shipping options. United Parcel Service WILL NOT DELIVER TO POST OFFICE BOXES so give a street address if you want a UPS delivery.

Foreign
Unless other arrangements are made, shipment will be by surface mail. Call or Fax for other options.

Returns
If at any time you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will refund your purchase price. We'd appreciate hearing the reason for the return-did we send the wrong book? Was it too scary? Not scary enough? Buying a copy of a book already owned is the #1 reason for return! Just wrap it carefully or put it in a padded envelope and send it back with a note telling us whether you'd like a refund or exchange.

Backorders and refunds
We do our very best to keep all items in stock, but sometimes we don't order enough or a book goes suddenly out of print. If a book is not available, we'll send you a backorder form explaining the difficulty and asking if you want to wait for the book, chose another item, or receive a refund. Refunds are usually made in the form of a refund certificate, good any time. If you'd prefer a credit card credit slip or a check, just let us know.
