A well-written and attractive book of rather gentle-spirited hauntings dating from the early 1800s to the present. A ghostly harpist at the Brunswick Inn. The tortured apparitions of two Highlanders in a stinking barge on the Cape Fear River. A young man who returned from the grave to announce that he'd been buried alive. Very nice b&w illustrations by various artists.
