I especially liked the chapter on Clara U. Mills, the ghostly music teacher, who has been terrifying students at Nebraska Wesleyan for years.

A mixture of traditional ghost tales ("Bloody Legends") and true stories told to Hutchinson like the one about the haunted rocking horse and a closet that really did have something horrible lurking in it.

Another fine collection from the Nebraska storyteller. A ghostly priest with obligations to fulfill before he could rest. A hermit who walked, even though he had frozen to death. My favorite tale is about the children who were spooked by one corner in their schoolroom. Of course, the teacher scoffed--until she was frightened out of her wits by a ghostly voice in that very spot.
