 Welcome
to Invisible Ink: the only catalog in the
visible world devoted exclusively to ghosts and hauntings!
This site is about (mostly) nonfiction
books on ghosts and haunted houses. Ghost-story fans are unique individuals. They don't
care where their ghosts come from, they simply want more stories. Also, they can't be
photographed.
I'm a ghostwriter myself (see my Haunted
Ohio series and Spooky Ohio) and I
started the Invisible Ink catalog after getting frustrated with my local book store. I
visited the Occult/New Age section once a week, but there were rarely any new ghost
stories. Instead, the section was filled with books on crystals, vampires and crop
circles. So I decided to bring together the world's largest selection of ghost stories.
Like me, ghost writers often concentrate on regional stories; their books can be very hard
to find outside that specific area. Invisible Ink offers ghost-to-ghost coverage of the
USA....and beyond.
Here you will find books from the British
Isles, Japan, the Caribbean, and
ethnic traditions including Cajun, Native
American, African-American and Celtic.
We also offer a large selection of children's books, classic ghostly fiction, audiobooks, and videotapes.

Because we humans need to be scared. Life for primitive man
was full of terror---the gnawing cold, hunger clawing at the belly, those glowing eyes
just outside the ring of light cast by the fire. Man was conditioned to come alive at the
first scent of danger, to be on the edge---all senses scanning the dark.
But we have been tamed. And the price we pay for full
bellies and central heating is a world of danger outside our control. A world where we may
simply curl up and sleep as domesticated as dogs.
Perhaps we need those eyes beyond the circle of
firelight to feel truly human....
